New Pond Farm offers a wide variety of exciting and interesting educational programs year round for people of all ages and interests.
The main themes of our programs are natural science, agriculture, and the arts.
We work with area schools, scout groups, and families to help connect people back to the land.
The majority of our programs are hands on and we aim to create enriching experiences and develop respect for the natural environment and all living things.
Our programs for Adults, Families, and Children run Fall, Winter, and Spring. Each season is covered in our Programs section. Follow the links to find out what classes are running at this time.
Our School Field Trip programs run September through June and we work with over 5,000 local children a year, sharing with them hands-on programs built around the CT State Standards in both Science and Social Studies.
We work with Scout troops of all ages where our 102-acre property becomes an outdoor classroom to achieve badges, signs, community service, and Eagle Scout work.
Our Educational Birthday parties are a great alternative for families who love the outdoors. Programs are suited to the birthday child and his or her guest, and are hands-on and engaging.
For the aspiring actor, we offer two Shakespeare programs. Our Winter Shakespeare is for high school students and our Summer Shakespeare for students entering 7th - 9th grade.
We are able to connect people to the land through all these areas of education. We hope you will join us. Follow the links on the left to learn more about the area of your interest.
