Putnam’s Revolutionary War Winter Encampment
Thursday, May 10, 7:00–8:30 pm
Join Dan Cruson, local historian and author for a overview of his newly published book. Dan’s research for the book involved twelve years of excavations actively searching out details about the men of this encampment and the lifestyles they led. The uncovered artifacts together with the generated documentation are thought to be the most complete picture of the Revolutionary War soldier’s daily life on record to date. Dan will also touch on the development of Putnam Park over the years from our first state park in the late 1800’s to the facility it is today.
