Employment Opportunities

Position Title: Summer Camp On-Site Assistant Director (hiring 1)

New Pond Farm offers a residential summer camp for inner-city youth from CT and day camp for local children. The camp works with children 8-12 years old, and consists of three 10-day sessions, totaling eight weeks of employment. Established in 1985, our summer camp has given hundreds of inner-city children a taste of life in the country, and a chance to live, work and play on the farm for 10 days along side children who have grown up in the area. Our camp is small and personal (8 inner-city youth and 8 area children per session) which allows our summer staff to have a positive impact on our campers.
As a summer camp alternate director, you will enjoy living and working on a beautiful working farm. Facilities include a bunkhouse/Learning Center with accommodations for the campers and counselors, a full kitchen, bathrooms with showers, laundry facilities, a classroom and meeting areas. Daily activities include natural science lessons, hiking, gardening/farming, swimming, arts and crafts, games and much more.
