The Redding Garden Club and New Pond Farm are graciously opening their gardens.

1. “Plum Row”
Beyond the stone wall lies boxwood lined beds featuring an interesting
collection of perennials and shrubs with gravel paths and stone steps leading to
a raised bed herb garden.
2. “Among Tall Pines”
A garden oasis surrounded by a canopy of massive White Pines and Norway Spruce
is the perfect setting for specialty plantings and creative architectural
features.
3. “The Wild Child”
This sunny hillside garden has been “tamed” a bit since the 2006 tour as the
owner’s enthusiasm for experimenting continues with new plantings and
decorative elements.
4. “A Well-Accented Garden”
This garden, flowing with ever-changing beds, is an eclectic mix of herbaceous
and woody species, strewn with surprises of whimsical décor.
5. “Four Seasons”
Care has been taken in these gardens to ensure something is always going on
through the seasons of the year and that they provide a relaxed yet organized
feeling.
6. “New Pond Farm”
Actress Carmen Mathews transformed her 102-acre property into an environmental
center and working farm that features rolling pastures, plus perennial, herb and
vegetable gardens.
7. “ Rabbit’s Rest”
Enter a fairy tale world of your childhood, a secluded secret garden, cool green
and ferny – with something to delight the eye at every turn.
8. “Clemens Chef’s Garden”
The Chef’s Garden is inspired by European and Colonial kitchen door gardens,
comprised of raised beds, planters and containers that supply specialized herbs,
heirloom vegetables and fruits for the restaurant kitchen.
Lunch:
We invite you to enjoy the delicious lunch that will be offered at New Pond Farm
(Stop 6) between 11:30 and 1:30. (Lunch must be ordered when you purchase your
tickets.)
Catered by Clemens Restaurant in West Redding, there will be a choice of:
A Bouquet of Finger Sandwiches (Cucumber & Herb Cream Cheese, Honey Ham
Rosemary & Orange, Chicken Salad) or A Bouquet of Vegetarian Finger
Sandwiches (Fresh Tomato with Mascarpone & Pesto, Cucumber & Herb Cream
Cheese, Greek Salad Pinwheel), served with Individual Crudites of Garden
Vegetable with Herb Dip, Fresh Berry Cupcake
A small “boutique” with useful things for the garden or your home will be
featured at the “Wild Child” garden. A door prize of a decorative birdhouse
will be drawn from names of attendees. We will also have some lovely Raffle
prizes to bid on.
